The Artisan 5-Quart model has a 325 watt motor, which is very capable of doing things such as making dough, creaming butter, and making different kinds of cream. The 5-quart artisan stand mixer model comes included with three attachments: a wire whip, a flat beater, and a hook. These attachments are very well made, and are installed by easily by twisting them on. It also includes a pouring shield, which comes with most stand mixers, to avoid splashing.

The mixer's dimensions are 16x16x11 inches, and it weighs just under 23 lbs. It comes with 10 selectable speeds, all the way from very slow stir to very high, which makes it easy to find the exact speed for your mixing needs. Artisan Custom Metallic Series 5-Quart Mixers

The Custom Metallica Model does differ from the basic 5-quart model, and not only because of the color. The product dimenison is actually smaller, at 14x8.5x14 inches, but it does weight more, at 26 lbs. It does have most of the same functions as the basic model, but in addition has a tilting head, better handles on the bowl. and of course a beautiful 3 layer finish of nickel, chrome and copper. The motor is the same, and it also comes with the same accessories. Both models also have a 1 year warranty from the manufacturer, Kitchenaid.
