Viking Stand Mixer
The Viking brand was made by Fred Carl Jr., who wanted a practical commercial grade kitchen range for the home.
The viking line started shipping out in 1987, and are priced reasonably for the average homeowner. Viking
stand mixers are easy to use, and are made with high quality materials to last a long time.
Viking 5 Quart Stand
Mixer
The 5 quart viking stand mixers are well made pieces of equipment fitted with an
800 watt moror. They are capable of kneading the toughest dough, and comes with a wide array of settings. The
locking head can easily be removed for clean up. The 12 speeds available will make mixing a breeze, as some speeds
can be used to prevent flour from going all over the place, and liquid from splattering. The maximum speed is
specifically made for whipping thick creams and custards. There are also many optional attachments available for
the viking stand mixers, such as the pouring shield (which comes seperate, unfortunately), dough hooks, beaters,
whisks, and many more.
Viking 7 Quart Stand Mixer
The 7 quart edition of the viking stand mixers are pretty much the same as the 5
quart version, except that the motor has 1000 watts instead of 800. Both have Viking exclusive ergonomic
stainless steel bowls. The accessories included are the "V" beater, whip, dough hook and bowl. Both come with a 1
year warranty.
